Messerschmitt Bf109E 'Battle of Britain'
This sketch is inspired by my visit last year to the Duxford Air Museum where they have a Messerschmitt, laid out as if in a 1:1 scale diorama of a downed aircraft crashed into a harvested corn field.
My picture here is of Messerschmitt Bf109E of 1./JG 3 Udet flown by Oberleutnant Franz von Werra in August 1940, shot down by a Spitfire during the Battle of Britain.
